In 2011 and 2012, people of Multan has suffered a lot because of continues floods. Especially, the area of western Punjab (which is the border of Sindh). Charity Australia intervened to put in the effort and bring their services to the extent possible. They had limited resources but a lot of effective ideas. They realised that one-off efforts like setting up a camp, providing a meal for a day are not going to improve their overall situation. So they turned towards another approach of improving the long-term situation and making the victims more able to get out of their situation.
The master plan is to build a 500-bed hospital which is spread out over a span of five years. But the current plan is 50 bed, to begin with.
